We talk about how important STEM is & how much it is needed. Does anyone really know what STEM is and what it stands for? Science, Technology, Engineer and Math. Do parents and students know what it means and why it’s so important?
It is important because it’s part of our daily life. Science is around us, Technology is being invented every day, Engineers are part of the innovation that makes our lives easy and Math is important because it is used everyday when your doing your bills. Need to teach students and parents why STEM is important before they sign up for any extra curriculum. Educators have to understand how to teach it before presenting it.
Some school districts offer STEM after school. Does your school teach STEM during school hours or after school? What would you change about the program? Thoughts?
